Interactive Sculpture Concerning Wage Disparity
I refined and reorganized collected research to highlight the differences between minimum wage and living wage across the 50 states of the U.S. Every part of the sculpture is interactive to allow exploration of the individual pieces in tangent to the whole.
An accompanying separate piece serves as the key reference for how the others are structured.
This side provides a brief explanation for how to read the elements.
The key reference accurately portrays the national average when juxtaposed with the primary structure.
A closer look at some of the states and how they compare.
The longer the tab, the higher the discrepancy between minimum wage and a living wage.
From an overhead view, it is easy to discern the difference within each state and among states.
